The Albany State Golden Rams soccer team lost (2-0) to the Lander University Bearcats on Saturday afternoon at the ASU West Campus Soccer Complex. With the loss, the Golden Rams fell to (1-8-1) overall and (0-3-1) in the conference. The Bearcats improved to (7-3) overall and (3-2) in the Peach Belt Conference.Â

At the 13:54 mark, Rylee King scored to give the Bearcats a (1-0) lead. Mary Moosbrugger scored at the 24:19 mark to extend the Bearcats lead to (2-0). That would be all the scoring the Bearcats needed to escape Albany with a victory over the Golden Rams.

The Golden Rams finished with 1 shot, 6 saves and 11 fouls. The Bearcats finished with 30 shots, 12 corner kicks and 10 fouls.

The Golden Rams will be back in action against Georgia College at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, October 11, in Milledgeville, Georgia.
