Interviews

All interviews with Albany State University coaches, student-athletes, athletic administrators, and staff must be coordinated through the ASU Office of Strategic Communication. Media requests must be submitted using the official online request form.

Media are generally welcome to attend practice sessions, but must check in with the ASU Office of Athletics Strategic Communications in advance. All interviews must be completed at least 15 minutes before the start of practice. Please note that head coaches reserve the right to determine specific media access times during practices.

Media access to locker rooms is strictly prohibited before, during, and after all athletic contests. However, approved interviews with coaches and student-athletes may be conducted outside the locker room or on the field/court following a mandatory 10-minute cooling-off period. This policy applies to all ASU sports.

The Albany State Office of  Athletics Strategic Communication is committed to facilitating timely and professional media coverage and will make every effort to ensure that all approved media representatives have the access and information needed to meet their deadlines.
