Albany, Ga. — The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its 2026 Baseball All-Conference teams and postseason honors on Thursday, recognizing the league's top performers as selected by conference head coaches.
Among the highlights of the conference, Albany State University proudly showcased five student-athletes who made it onto the All-SIAC First Team, underscoring the Golden Rams' impressive season and their ongoing success within the league.
In addition to this achievement, Albany State celebrated a notable individual honor as well, with freshman pitcher
Dereck Foster earning the title of SIAC Relief Pitcher of the Year.
Foster, a freshman from Ellenwood, Georgia, emerged as one of the conference's most reliable arms out of the bullpen. His ability to control late-game situations and deliver key innings made him a valuable piece of the Golden Rams' pitching staff throughout the season. In addition to earning First-Team All-SIAC recognition as a relief pitcher, Foster's performance earned him conference-wide recognition as the top reliever in the SIAC.
Junior right-handed pitcher
Samuel Crew earned First-Team honors as a starting pitcher after anchoring Albany State's rotation throughout the year. Behind the plate, redshirt sophomore MasonTurner earned First-Team All-SIAC honors at catcher. At first base, junior
Ty Grover secured First-Team recognition after serving as a dependable contributor in the middle of Albany State's batting order. Senior
Luke Addison rounded out Albany State's first-team selections after earning honors at third base.
Albany State's five first-team honorees underscore the program's success during the 2026 season and reflect the team's balanced production across the field.
The SIAC also announced its major award winners, including Daniel Donaldson-Fountain of Edward Waters University as Player of the Year, Garrett Lott of Spring Hill College as Starting Pitcher of the Year, Bobby Torres of Edward Waters as Utility Player of the Year, and Tripp Braswell of Morehouse College as Freshman of the Year. Antonio Grissom of Morehouse was named Coach of the Year.
