Albany, Ga. — Albany State Athletics senior
Luke Addison has been named to the 2026 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division II All-South Region First Team, recognizing his outstanding performance during the 2026 baseball season.
The announcement was made by the American Baseball Coaches Association and Rawlings Sporting Goods as part of the official release of the 2026 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division II All-Region teams and Regional Players of the Year selections across all eight regions.
The All-Region teams were selected through voting conducted by members of the American Baseball Coaches Association and coordinated by the ABCA NCAA Division II All-America and Coach of the Year Committee.
Addison's First Team selection places him among the top players in the South Region and makes him eligible for ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division II All-America honors, which are scheduled to be announced on Friday, May 29.
Throughout the 2026 season, Addison emerged as one of the most consistent and impactful players for the Golden Rams. His leadership, offensive production, and ability to deliver in key moments helped anchor Albany State's lineup throughout the year while playing a major role in the program's success.
"Luke has represented our program with tremendous consistency, work ethic, and leadership throughout his career," said Albany State head baseball coach
Scot Hemmings. "This recognition is well deserved and reflects the impact he made not only for our team, but across the region this season. We are proud of everything he accomplished in a Golden Rams uniform."
The ABCA/Rawlings All-Region recognition continues a long-standing tradition of honoring the nation's top collegiate baseball student-athletes. The ABCA All-America program was first introduced in 1949 and now recognizes players across multiple collegiate and high school divisions nationwide.
The ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division II All-America teams will be officially announced Friday, May 29, while the ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove teams for all divisions are scheduled to be released on Wednesday, June 17.
This year's ABCA NCAA Division II All-America and Coach of the Year Committee was chaired by Rudy Garbalosa of Lynn University and included committee members from institutions across the country.
