This matchup marks the third all-time meeting between the two programs and will serve as the series tiebreaker. Albany State earned the first win in the series back in 2018 with a 2-1 victory, while Shorter answered in the most recent meeting on September 10, 2023, edging the Lady Golden Rams by a 2-1 score.

Albany State University is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II-level intercollegiate athletic program.
