The Albany State Golden Rams were defeated (15-4) by the Columbus State Cougars on Tuesday afternoon at the ASU West Campus Baseball Complex. The Cougars scored 9 runs in the top of the 4
th inning to break open a close game against the Golden Rams.
With the loss, the Golden Rams are now (13-4). The Cougars improved to (18-4) overall and (9-2) on the road.
In the bottom of the 2
nd inning,
Hill Corley scored on a
Chase Karn sacrifice fly to even the score at (1-1).
The Golden Rams wouldn't score again until the bottom of the 6
th inning when
Jonathan Logsdon scored on another
Chase Karn sacrifice fly to make it (15-2).
Hill Corley also scored on a wild pitch in the inning.
Bradley Smith also scored on a
Lavoisier Fisher walk with the bases loaded.
Hill Corley finished with 2 hits and 2 runs scored in the game.
Derek Wylie finished with 2 home runs in the game for the Cougars.
Calvin Baker was the losing pitcher for the Golden Rams. Baker is (1-1) on the season.
