Daytona Beach, FL -The Albany State University Track and Field team put in an impressive performance at the Eagle Invite, which took place on Saturday, March 8, at Embry-Riddle in Daytona Beach, FL. The Golden Rams demonstrated their depth and talent across various events, achieving multiple top finishes in both track and field competitions.

Track Events
The Golden Rams dominated several sprint and hurdle events, including multiple top-three finishes. Mohammed Bah was a double winner, taking first place in the Men's 110m Hurdles with a time of 15.13 seconds and securing another victory in the Men's 400m Hurdles at 55.28 seconds.

Kibren Moore led the way in the Men's 400 Meters, capturing first place with a time of 48.51 seconds, while
Tyler Mapson displayed his speed with third-place finishes in both the Men's 100 Meters (10.71 seconds) and the Men's 200 Meters (21.31 seconds).

On the women's side,
Cadence Cray sprinted to victory in the Women's 200 Meters, clocking 24.77 seconds, and
Dasia Gilyard secured second place in the Women's 400 Meters with a time of 56.74 seconds.
Kennedy Walker earned a third-place finish in the Women's 400m Hurdles, crossing the line in 1:09.03.

In the middle-distance events,
Zenay Rhaney posted a strong time of 5:19.06 in the Women's 1500 Meters, while
Jonathan Kelly finished ninth in the Men's 800 Meters with a time of 1:55.64.

The Men's 4x400m Relay team delivered an impressive second-place finish with a time of 3:15.99, featuring strong performances from Fletcher, Weaver, and the Nembhard-Belcher twins.

Field Events
ASU's throwers and jumpers also made their presence felt at the Eagle Invite.
Mykhayla Carroll dominated the Women's Hammer Throw, taking first place with a mark of 45.54 meters, while also finishing third in the Women's Discus (37.38 meters) and fifth in the Women's Shot Put (11.48 meters).

Adoni Nembhard-Belcher soared to first place in the Men's Long Jump, leaping 6.94 meters, while
Azwan Nembhard-Belcher took second in the Men's Triple Jump with a mark of 14.07 meters.

On the women's side,
Taniyah Kelley secured second place in the Women's Triple Jump (11.20 meters) and placed eighth in the Women's Long Jump (4.85 meters).

In the High Jump,
Julianna Kern cleared 1.60 meters to claim second place in the Women's event, while
Jaelin Joseph finished fourth in the Men's division with a jump of 1.80 meters.

In the throwing events,
Isaac Moody placed seventh in the Men's Hammer Throw (38.90 meters) and tenth in the Men's Discus (36.13 meters), while
Michael Trimble earned fifth in the Men's Shot Put with a mark of 13.14 meters.

With standout performances in sprints, hurdles, middle-distance races, and field events, ASU continued to build momentum as the season progressed.

ABOUT ALBANY STATE ATHLETICS
Albany State University is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II-level intercollegiate athletic program. The university currently field teams in 11 sports: women's volleyball, women's tennis, women's cross country, men's and women's basketball, softball, men's and women's track and field, women's soccer, baseball, and football. All teams compete in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC), except women's soccer, which participates in the Peach Belt Conference.
