Albany, GA – The Albany State University Golden Rams are set to open Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) play with a three-game series against the Tuskegee University Golden Tigers at West Campus Baseball Field in Albany, GA. The series kicks off with a single game on Friday, February 14, at 5:00 PM, followed by a doubleheader on Saturday, February 15, beginning at 12:00 PM.
Albany State (3-3) enters the series riding momentum after securing a 2-1 series victory over USC-Beaufort on February 8. The Golden Rams displayed strong pitching and timely hitting in their last outing and will look to carry that success into their conference opener. Their recent matchup against Columbus State was rescheduled due to weather.
On the other side, Tuskegee (3-4) will aim to bounce back after falling to West Alabama on February 11. The Golden Tigers will be eager to turn things around as they step into SIAC competition.
Series History: ASU vs. Tuskegee
The Golden Rams have historically dominated this matchup, holding a 39-9 all-time series lead over the Golden Tigers dating back to March 2002. Albany State has won 13 straight games against Tuskegee, with the Golden Rams' last loss to the Golden Tigers coming in 2016. The teams last met on March 23-24, 2024, when ASU swept Tuskegee 3-0 in a conference series.
