Albany, Ga. - The energy is high in the Good Life City as the Golden Rams enter another exciting week of competition! Fresh off a commanding win over Clark Atlanta, Albany State Football gears up for its Homecoming showdown against Tuskegee University on Saturday at 1 PM, a matchup steeped in history and pride. Meanwhile, Women's Volleyball returns to the court after an impressive showing at the SIAC West Cluster Tournament, and Women's Soccer continues its road stretch with a midweek contest against Southern Wesleyan. The Lady Golden Rams Cross Country team also begins final preparations to defend its conference title at the upcoming SIAC Championship. It's a busy and spirited week across the board as the Golden Rams continue to chase excellence on every field, court, and course!

The Albany State Lady Golden Rams Volleyball team is back in action this week as they hit the road to Columbia, S.C., for a conference clash against the Benedict College Lady Tigers on Wednesday, October 14, at 7:00 PM. The matchup promises to be a thrilling test between two of the SIAC's top programs, as the Lady Golden Rams (9-10, 8-2 SIAC) look to extend their strong conference momentum against a tough Benedict squad (13-3, 7-2 SIAC).

Albany State enters the contest following a solid performance at the West Cluster SIAC Crossover Tournament, where they finished 2-1, showcasing their offensive balance and defensive resilience. Historically, the Lady Golden Rams have dominated the series, holding an 18-10 advantage since 2011, including a current two-match winning streak over the Lady Tigers. The Albany State Lady Golden Rams Women's Soccer team returns to action this week with a pair of road contests, beginning with a non-conference showdown against Southern Wesleyan University on Wednesday, October 15, at 3:00 PM. This matchup marks the third meeting in program history between the two teams, with the Lady Warriors (3-6-1, 3-4-1 Conference Carolinas) currently holding a 2-0 series advantage over the Lady Golden Rams (1-8-1, 0-5-1 Peach Belt). Following Wednesday's contest, the Lady Golden Rams will remain on the road to resume Peach Belt Conference play against Georgia College on Saturday, October 18, at 1:00 PM in Milledgeville, Ga. The Lady Bobcats hold a 6-0 record in the all-time series, but Albany State enters determined to break through and earn its first conference victory of the season. It's Homecoming Week in the Good Life City, and the stage is set for one of the most storied rivalries in HBCU football as the Albany State Golden Rams (5-1, 4-0 SIAC) host the Tuskegee Golden Tigers (2-4, 1-3 SIAC) on Saturday, October 18, at 1:00 PM inside the ASU Coliseum. The game will be featured nationally on HBCU GO, giving fans everywhere the chance to experience the energy and excitement of Golden Ram football during one of the season's most anticipated matchups.
 
The two programs share a rich history, having met 47 times on the gridiron, with Tuskegee holding a narrow 25-21-1 all-time series lead. However, Albany State will look to continue shifting the momentum in their favor after blanking the Golden Tigers 21-0 in their last meeting on October 5, 2019. Under the leadership of Head Coach Quinn Gray Sr., the Golden Rams have established themselves as one of the SIAC's top teams, riding a four-game winning streak and showing dominance on both sides of the ball. Meanwhile, Tuskegee enters looking to spoil Albany State's homecoming and get back on track in conference play.

Albany State University is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II-level intercollegiate athletic program. The university currently fields teams in 11 sports: women's volleyball, women's tennis, women's cross country, men's and women's basketball, softball, men's and women's track and field, women's soccer, baseball, and football with all teams compete in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC), except women's soccer, which participates in the Peach Belt Conference.
