Albany State’s Alaysia Manigault Selected for NFL Future Leaders in Football Fellowship

ALBANY, Ga. – Albany State University's Alaysia Manigault, lead equipment manager for Golden Rams Football, has been selected to participate in the NFL Future Leaders in Football Fellowship for the 2025 season.

The fellowship, created by the National Football League (NFL) in partnership with the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC), Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC), Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA), and the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC), provides hands-on experience for individuals interested in careers in football operations, athletic training, equipment, video, and scouting.

Manigault, who has served as ASU's lead equipment manager for the past three years, is among a select group of participants chosen to receive a stipend and professional development experience while working with their institution's football program. Top fellows will also have an opportunity to attend an NFL event and enter the league's career pipeline.

"At Albany State, we're intentional about creating opportunities that give our students real-world experience and exposure beyond the classroom," said Dr. Kristene Kelly, Director of Athletics. "The NFL's Future Leaders in Football Fellowship perfectly aligns with our mission to develop the whole person, preparing our students to excel in their careers and in life."

"Alaysia is one of the hardest-working individuals in our program," said Head Football Coach Quinn Gray, Sr.. "She takes pride in her role and ensures our team is prepared to perform at its best every single day."

This marks the second consecutive year that an Albany State representative has been selected for the NFL fellowship, following Jack Pierrot's successful participation in 2024.
