First pitch is set for 5:00 PM on Saturday, with Sunday's action starting at 1:00 PM.

This weekend marks the second meeting in nearly a decade between Albany State and Eckerd College. The teams last faced off on February 17, 2019, when the Tritons swept the Golden Rams in a three-game series (4-14, 0-7, 4-8). Albany State will be looking to turn the tide and start the season strong with a home-field advantage.
Golden Rams Outlook
Coming off an impressive 37-12 overall record in 2024, including a 30-3 mark in SIAC play, the Golden Rams enter the 2025 season with high expectations. Albany State dominated throughout last season but fell short in the SIAC Tournament, losing to Savannah State in a hard-fought battle. The Golden Rams will be eager to build on last year's success and make an early statement in non-conference play.
The Rams will officially take the field for the first time in 2025 against an Eckerd team looking for a fresh start.
Eckerd College Outlook
The Eckerd Tritons finished the 2024 season at 18-31, struggling to find consistency. The Tritons will be looking to use this series as a launching pad for a stronger campaign and to extend their all-time series lead over the Golden Rams.
This season-opening series presents a great opportunity for Albany State to kick off 2025 with momentum and set the stage for another successful campaign. The Golden Rams are ready to make a statement in their first action of the year.
