The Albany State Golden Rams remain in 1^st place in the SIAC after sweeping their 3-game series against the Kentucky State University Thorobreds on this weekend.  With the sweep, the Golden Rams improved to (30-8) overall and (27-2) in the SIAC.  The Golden Rams have won 4-games in a row.  The Thorobreds fell to (17-20) overall and (15-12) in the conference. 
 
In game #1, the Golden Rams trailed the Thorobreds (3-0) before rallying to defeat Kentucky State (6-3).
 
In the 7^th inning, the Golden Rams tied the score (3-3) when Tucker Jordan was walked with the bases loaded.  The Golden Rams took a (5-3) lead after Austin Roberts and Zane Ross were hit by pitches with the bases loaded.
 
The Golden Rams added another run in the 8^th inning when Nathan Lloyd hit a double to right field that scored Luke Addison.  Luke Addison had 3 of the Golden Rams 4 hits.
 
Jeremiah Reddell improved to a perfect (10-0) after pitching 7 innings and allowing 2 earned runs.  John Luegering pitched 2 innings and was awarded the save in relief.
 
In game #2, the Golden Rams defeated the Thorobreds (16-3). 
 
In the 2^nd inning, Lavoisier Fisher hit his 14^th home run of the season to extend the Golden Rams lead to (6-0) over the Thorobreds.
 
In the 4^th inning, Hill Corley hit a triple to score Nathan Lloyd to give the Golden Rams an (11-2) lead.
 
In the 6^th inning, the Golden Rams scored their 16^th run when Tucker Jordan hit a single to right field to score Jonathan Logsdon.
 
Hill Corley was 4 out of 4 from the plate for the Golden Rams.
 
Landon Kiefer improved to (8-2) after pitching 5 innings for the Golden Rams.  Kiefer had 5 strike outs and allowed 2 earned runs.
 
In game #3, the Golden Rams score 5runs in the bottom of the 8^th inning to cruise to an (11-1) victory over the Thorobreds.
 
The Golden Rams finished with 10 hits in the game.  Hill Corley led the Golden Rams with 3 hits.  Zane Ross, Jonathan Logsdon and Austin Roberts had 2 hits each for the Golden Rams.
 
Brady Davis improved to (6-1) after pitching 6 innings without allowing an earned run.  Tyler Bullock and John Luegering pitched in relief for the Golden Rams.
 
The Golden Rams will play the Spring Hill College Badgers in their final 3-game series of the season on April 27-28, in Mobile, Alabama.
