The game was scoreless until the Cougars' Bouton homered to left field in the bottom of the 3
rd inning to give Columbus State a (1-0) lead.Â

th inning, the Golden Rams tied the game at (1-1) when
Luke Addison homered to left field. In the bottom of the 5
th inning, the Cougars' McDade homered to left field for 2 RBIs.

Bouton homered again in the 7
th inning to increase the Cougars lead to (4-1).

Luke Addison and
Hill Corley both had 3 hits for the Golden Rams in the loss.

Landon Kiefer (0-1 record) pitched 5 innings and allowed 3 runs while striking out 4 batters.

The Golden Rams will play Auburn University at Montgomery in their home opener at 2:00 pm on the ASU West Campus on Thursday, February 9.
