The Albany State Golden Rams softball team went (2-1) on day one in the SIAC/ CIAA Softball Challenge on Saturday in Orangeburg, South Carolina. 
 
The Golden Rams defeated Bluefield State (10-3) in game 1 of the SIAC/ CIAA Softball Challenge. 
 
In game 2, the Golden Rams defeated Virginia State (19-14) on Saturday in an offensive explosion by both team. 
 
In game 3, the Golden Rams lost (7-2) to Bowie State.

On Sunday, February 19, the Golden Rams will play Lincoln (PA) at 10:00 am. The Golden Rams will play their fifth and final game at 2:00 pm against Shaw.
