The Golden Rams softball team won the season series (2-1) against the Fort Valley State University Wildcats on April 9-10.  The Golden Rams lost game #1 (6-5) and won game #2 (1-0) on Saturday, April 9.   On Sunday, the Golden Rams defeated the Wildcats (7-0) in game #3.  The Golden Rams are now 30-4 (14-2 in the SIAC) while the Wildcats fell to 10-23 (3-12 in the SIAC).
 
The Golden Rams broken open a scoreless game when they erupted for 5 runs in the 3^rd inning.  The Golden Rams added 2 more runs in the 5^th inning to secure the (7-0) shutout against the Fort Valley State University Wildcats.
 
Morgan Brown was 3 for 4 from the plate and had 2 RBIs for the Golden Rams.  Ciweya Tennison had 2 hits and a RBI for the Golden Rams.  Romona McLeod and Kierra Washington combined for the shutout for the Golden Rams.
 
The Golden Rams will travel to Americus, Georgia to play Georgia Southwestern University in a double header on Wednesday, April 20.
