The Albany State Golden Rams women's soccer team has lost 9-straight games after being defeated (2-0) by the University of North Georgia Nighthawks on today at the ASU West Campus Soccer Complex.Â

The Golden Rams fell to (0-9) overall and (0-6) in the Peach Belt Conference while the Nighthawks improved to (7-2-2) overall and (4-1-1) in the conference. Â

After a scoreless 1
st period, the Nighthawks scored (2) goals in the 2
nd period to defeat the Golden Rams. At the 48:31 mark, Alexa Aronoff scored to give the Nighthawks a (1-0) advantage. Maysoon El-Shami scored on a penalty kick at the 88:21 mark to extend the lead to (2-0).

Taniya Averett was impressive for the Golden Rams. Averett finished with 24 saves.

The Golden Rams will be back in action on the road at 5:00 pm against Columbus State University on Wednesday, October 12.
