In a defensive battle, the Albany State Golden Rams women's soccer team lost (1-0) to the Georgia College on Wednesday, October 5, at the ASU West Campus Soccer Complex.
 
Despite playing great defensively, the Golden Rams fell to (0-7) overall and (0-5) in the Peach Belt Conference while the Bobcats improved to (5-4-2) overall.  The Bobcats are now (4-1-1) in the Peach Belt Conference. 
 
At the 22:50 mark in the 1^st period, the Bobcats' Aralyn Everett scored the only goal in the game.  The goal was assisted by Ava Martin.
 
The Bobcats attempted 12 shots while the Golden Rams attempted 2.  The Bobcats also committed 10 fouls while the Golden Rams committed 5.
 
The Golden Rams will be back in action when they host North Georgia College at 4:00 pm on the ASU West Campus on Saturday, October 8.
