The Albany State Golden Rams and the Fort Valley State University Wildcats will play in the 32nd Annual Fountain City Classic at 2:00 pm at the A.J. McClung Memorial Stadium in Columbus, Georgia on Saturday, November 5, 2022.
The game will be broadcast live via ESPN Plus. Columbus, Georgia based radio station WOKS 1340-AM is providing live radio broadcast as well as radio station WZBN 105.5 FM in Albany, Georgia.
The Golden Rams enter the game with an overall record of 7-2 (5-1 in the SIAC). The Wildcats will enter the game with an overall record of 7-2 (4-2 in the SIAC). Albany State University and Fort Valley State University are both members of the East Division of the SIAC.
The Albany State and Fort Valley State rivalry dates back to 1945. However, the Fountain City Classic started in 1990. Since then, the Golden Rams record against the Wildcats is 24-7. Albany State has won 16 out of the last 21 games against Fort Valley State. Coach
