The Albany State Golden Rams volleyball team completed the season sweep against Benedict College after defeating the Tigers (3-0) at the ASU East Campus on Saturday, October 22.  With the win, the Golden Rams improved to (14-6) overall and (13-2) in the SIAC while the Tigers fell to (11-11) overall and (6-9) in the conference.
 
In set 1, the Golden Rams defeated the Tigers (25-17).  The Golden Rams won set 2 by the score of (25-12).  Despite a valiant effort by the Tigers, the Golden Rams won set 3 (25-23).
 
Sydney Melton led the Golden Rams with (11) kills.  Jenae Thomas finished with (2) aces.  Khamari Trotter led the Golden Rams with (3) blocks while Chelsea Doswell paced the Golden Rams with (31) assists.  Hailey Elyicio had a team leading (13) digs.
 
The Golden Rams will be back in action when they host the Clark-Atlanta Panthers at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, October 26.
