Box Score AMERICUS, Ga. - The Albany State University baseball team defeated Georgia Southwestern University 7-2 Tuesday evening.
The Golden Rams was the first to get on the board adding a run in the top of the third inning when TJ Thomas singled to second base to score
Tucker Jordan to take a 1-0 lead. The Hurricanes answered in the bottom of the inning adding a run to tie the game. Both teams' remained scoreless in the fourth inning. Albany State and GSW added a run in the fifth inning to bring the score two all. In the fifth inning, Thomas grounded out to second base and
Tate Thompson crossed home plate. The Golden Rams plated three runs in the sixth inning to take a 5-2 advantage. The Hurricanes remained scoreless the rest of the contest. The Golden Rams then added one run each in the eighth and ninth innings to take the win. Â

The Golden Rams were led by TJ Thomas and
Wyatt Setian finishing the contest going two-for-four at the plate. Thomas also collected 4 RBIs.
Chasen Roulhac, Kevin Bryant and
Will Barry all recorded a hit each for Albany State. The Golden Rams finished the contest outhitting the Hurricanes 9-4.
The Golden Rams (11-6) will return to the diamond on Wednesday, April 14th as they host the Cougars of Columbus State University. First pitch is set for 4p.m.
