MEN’S TRACK AND FIELD TOPS THREE EVENTS AT EMORY INVITE

ATLANTA- The Albany State University men's track and field team had a strong outing at the Emory University Invitational held on Saturday.

Marquis Davis finished first overall in the discus throw with a distance of 43.69m and earned second place in the shot put with an effort of 13.83m.

Cervantes Jackson continued his dominance this season in both the high and long jump events. He topped the field with a mark of 2.00m in the long jump and took first place in the high jump with a height of 7.53. Jackson also turned in a solid performance in the 110m hurdles, placing second with a time of 15.18.

Also splitting time between the running and field events was Christopher Jackson, who took 6^th place in both the 100m dash (10.71) and the long jump (6.71m).
In the team sprints, the Golden Rams finished 7^th out of a field of 14 in the 4x100m relay, posting a time of 42.54.

ASU's other notable performances came from Joshua Ajero and Jamorris Hill. Ajero put up a 1:51.55, good for second place in the in 800m while Hill came in sixth place with a time of 1:55.91.

The Golden Rams will participate in the Cougar Classic hosted by Columbus State University on April 7^th in Columbus, Georgia.
