Albany, Ga. – The Albany State women's cross country team returns to competition this weekend as they travel to Dahlonega, Ga., to race in the UNG Invitational hosted by the University of North Georgia. The meet is scheduled for Saturday, September 13, and will feature a competitive field of regional programs.
The Lady Golden Rams look to build on early-season momentum following a pair of strong performances to open the 2025 campaign. ASU placed fourth overall at the VSU Border Clash to start the season, led by standout runs from
Brea Vann,
Faith Thompson, and
Dasia Gilyard, all of whom finished inside the top 20. The group followed up with another solid showing, finishing fifth in their last outing, demonstrating consistency and growth as the season progresses.
With a deep and balanced roster, Albany State will aim to continue climbing the standings and gain valuable race experience heading into the heart of the schedule. The Lady Golden Rams will rely on steady contributions from veterans while developing younger runners into scoring roles. This week's UNG Invitational presents another opportunity for ASU to test itself against strong competition and measure its progress.
