Albany State University Celebrates 43 Student-Athlete Graduates at Fall 2025 Commencement

Albany, Ga. – Albany State University (ASU) proudly announces that 43 Golden Rams student-athletes will earn their degrees during the Fall 2025 Commencement Ceremony this weekend, marking another milestone in the university's commitment to academic excellence and student success.
 
This season's graduating class represents a wide range of sports programs and academic disciplines, showcasing the dedication, discipline, and resilience of ASU's student-athletes both on the field and in the classroom.
 
"Graduation is the most important championship our student-athletes will ever win," said Dr. Kristene Kelly, Director of Athletics. "We are incredibly proud of these 43 Golden Rams who have shown what it means to be disciplined, accountable, and committed to excellence. They embody the very best of Albany State, and we know they will continue to create legacies far beyond our campus."
 
ASU Athletic Director, Dr. Kristene Kelly, also applauded the graduating student-athletes, adding,
"This class embodies what it means to be a student-athlete at Albany State. They have competed with passion, served with humility, and excelled academically. We look forward to seeing the incredible impact they will make in their careers and communities."
 
Among the graduates, two student-athletes will be awarded master's degrees, while thirty-nine will receive bachelor's degrees—demonstrating their continued pursuit of higher education within the Golden Ram community.
 
In addition, five student-athletes will graduate with honors, recognizing their outstanding academic achievements and commitment to excellence. Their accomplishments reflect the rigorous standards upheld by ASU Athletics and the determination of each graduate to excel beyond athletics.
 
The Fall 2025 graduating class includes representatives from football, basketball, baseball, softball, track & field, cross country, cheer, and tennis. Their collective success not only elevates Albany State but also reinforces the university's mission to prepare students for leadership, service, and lifelong achievement.
 
As these 43 Golden Rams prepare to walk across the stage, the ASU community celebrates their accomplishments and wishes them continued success in all future endeavors.

ABOUT ALBANY STATE ATHLETICS
Albany State University is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II-level intercollegiate athletic program. The university currently fields teams in 11 sports: women's volleyball, women's tennis, women's cross country, men's and women's basketball, softball, men's and women's track and field, women's soccer, baseball, and football with all teams compete in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC), except women's soccer, which participates in the Peach Belt Conference.
