Cleveland, TN – The Albany State University Men's and Women's Track & Field teams wrapped up their season at the Lee University Last Chance Meet, competing against a diverse and competitive field that included teams from NCAA Division I, II, III, NAIA, and elite club programs. With one final opportunity to improve marks before the NCAA National Championships, the Golden Rams showcased resilience, talent, and focus across multiple events.
Leading the charge on the women's side was
Cadence Cray, who placed 4th overall in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.92 seconds. Cray, who has consistently performed at a high level throughout the season, remains in strong contention for national qualification as one of the top sprinters in the SIAC and NCAA Division II.
In the men's 400-meter dash,
Malachi Fletcher clocked a 47.56, good enough for a 5th-place finish in a deep and competitive field. Fletcher's performance solidified his status as one of the top 400m runners in the region and a potential national qualifier.
Hurdler
Jayvon Hutchinson continued his string of consistent performances in the 110-meter hurdles, earning 3rd place with a time of 14.54 seconds. His mark adds to an already impressive resume as he awaits his NCAA postseason fate.
In the field,
