Athletic Performance Guide for

Scholarship Student-Athletes

Following is the Albany State University Track and Field Student Athlete Performance Guide for Scholarship funds. We adjusted our Performance Standards to reflect our aggressive team plan. The plan focuses on continuous improvement that will lead to National Champions in both gender programs. The primary goal for next season is to win the SIAC Conference Championship and move higher in the NCAA Division II National Rankings. Therefore, we are using marks from this year’s Conference Championship and NCAA Division II Nationals as one of the components in setting these standards. We will begin the process of finalizing the Student-Athlete returners during the period from March thru June.
  1. All potential student-athletes must register and be cleared to compete with the NCAA Eligibility Center and pass the Athletics Department physical prior to being approved to practice by coaching staff.
  2. Achievement standards in more than one event may increase potential student-athlete athletics aid.
