Albany, GA — The Albany State University Men's and Women's Track & Field teams are set to compete on one of the biggest stages of the season as they travel to Columbia, South Carolina for the 2025 SIAC Track & Field Championships, hosted at the Sheila and Morris Cregger Track at the University of South Carolina. The championship meet is scheduled for April 23–25, 2025, with events starting each day at 7:30 a.m. ET.
The Golden Rams enter the championship meet riding the momentum of a strong outdoor season, which included multiple meet titles and standout individual performances. Both squads will look to compete for team titles while several student-athletes aim to bring home individual conference championships.

Championship Schedule Overview
Championship Day I | Wednesday, April 23
The opening day will feature the start and completion of combined event finals, including the Decathlon and Heptathlon. Field event finals will begin with the Men's and Women's Hammer Throw and Long Jump. On the track, preliminary rounds will be held in the 400m Hurdles, 200m Dash, 800m Run, and 4x100m Relay, with finals closing the day in the 10,000m Run.
Championship Day II | Thursday, April 24
The second day will feature the conclusion of the Decathlon and Heptathlon alongside key field event finals like the Men's and Women's Shot Put, Discus, Pole Vault, and Triple Jump. Track preliminaries will include sprints, hurdles, middle-distance races, and the 3,000m Steeplechase Finals. The day wraps with the prelims of the 4x400m Relay.
Championship Day III | Friday, April 25
On the final day, championship titles will be awarded at all remaining events. Javelin Throw and High Jump finals headline the field events, while the track will be packed with finals in all sprint, hurdle, middle-distance, and relay events — including the exciting 4x100m and 4x400m Relay Championships to close out the meet.

Albany State University is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II-level intercollegiate athletic program. The university currently fields teams in 11 sports: women's volleyball, women's tennis, women's cross country, men's and women's basketball, softball, men's and women's track and field, women's soccer, baseball, and football. All teams compete in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC), except women's soccer, which participates in the Peach Belt Conference.
