Albany, GA — The Albany State University softball team is back on the road this weekend, traveling to Columbia, SC, for a key three-game SIAC series against Allen University. The series opens with a doubleheader on Friday, April 18, beginning at 4:00 PM, and wraps up with a single game on Saturday, April 19 at 1:00 PM at the MLK Park.

Meanwhile, the Allen Lady Yellow Jackets (3-21, 3-18 SIAC) are also looking to get back on track after being swept by Benedict College last weekend. The series marks an opportunity for both programs to reset and regain momentum before postseason play begins.
Albany State has historically controlled the matchup between these two programs, owning a 9-0 all-time series lead over Allen University dating back to their first meeting on April 13, 2024. In their most recent matchup, the Lady Golden Rams delivered a dominant 8-0 victory, showcasing strong pitching and timely hitting.
