Golden Rams Track & Field Set to Compete in Eagle Invite at Embry-Riddle

Albany, GA – The Albany State Track & Field team is gearing up for another strong showing as they head to Daytona Beach, FL, to compete in the Eagle Invite, hosted by Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University on Saturday, March 8, 2025. The meet will take place at the ERAU Track & Field Complex, where the Golden Rams will test themselves against elite competition in another key early-season event.

Albany State enters the meet after a successful season-opening performance at the JD Evilsizer Invitational, where the Golden Rams secured over 20 top-three finishes and multiple first-place victories. With that momentum, ASU will look to continue its dominance on the track and in the field against tough competition in Daytona Beach.

With several SIAC and national championship qualifiers on the roster, the Eagle Invite presents another opportunity for ASU to improve their marks, times, and rankings while preparing for conference and postseason competition. This meet will be a critical test against top regional and Division II programs, helping the Golden Rams set the standard for the rest of the season.

ABOUT ALBANY STATE ATHLETICS
Albany State University is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II-level intercollegiate athletic program. The university currently field teams in 11 sports: women's volleyball, women's tennis, women's cross country, men's and women's basketball, softball, men's and women's track and field, women's soccer, baseball, and football. All teams compete in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC), except women's soccer, which participates in the Peach Belt Conference.
