ALBANY, GA – The Albany State Golden Rams are back in action this weekend as they hit the road for a three-game conference series against Edward Waters in Jacksonville, FL. The series kicks off Friday, March 14, with a 5:00 PM matchup at Henry L. Aaron Field at James P. Small Memorial Park, followed by a doubleheader on Saturday, March 15, beginning at 1:00 PM.
Albany State enters the matchup eager to bounce back following a tough 8-2 midweek loss to Georgia Southwestern on March 11. Despite the setback, ASU remains dominant in its series history against Edward Waters, currently riding a nine-game winning streak over the Tigers. The Golden Rams swept EWU in both 2023 and 2024, with their last loss to the Tigers coming on April 29, 2022—a series ASU still went on to win overall.
The Tigers come into the weekend with momentum, having secured a 2-1 series win over SIAC foe Benedict College last weekend. Edward Waters will look to turn the tide against ASU and snap the Golden Rams' impressive streak in the rivalry.
