Albany, GA – The Albany State University Lady Golden Rams are gearing up to participate in the second annual HBCU Softball Classic, taking place from February 14-16 at Tyger River Park in Spartanburg, SC. This premier event, hosted by OneSpartanburg, Inc., Spartanburg County, and Bowie State University, will bring together 18 Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) from 10 states for a weekend of competitive softball.
The HBCU Softball Classic serves as a showcase for teams representing the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA), Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC), the SUN Conference, and the HBCU Athletic Conference. This year, for the first time, the tournament will feature a championship game, adding even more excitement to the competition.

- One of the Southeast's premier softball complexes, featuring 12 fields and a championship stadium.

Albany State University is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II-level intercollegiate athletic program.
