Albany State Softball Set for Doubleheader Against Columbus State

Albany, GA – The Albany State University Lady Golden Rams are gearing up for a challenging non-conference doubleheader against Columbus State University on Tuesday, February 11, 2025. First pitch is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. at Cougar Field in Columbus, GA.

The Lady Golden Rams enter the matchup with momentum on their side after sweeping Talladega College on February 6, showcasing a strong offensive performance and solid pitching. Head Coach Jason Bryant and the team are eager to carry that success into their matchup against a tough Columbus State squad.
Meanwhile, the Lady Cougars are also riding high after sweeping Union University in a three-game series on February 7. CSU's lineup has proven to be explosive early in the season, and they will look to extend their winning streak against Albany State.

History Between ASU & CSU
The Lady Golden Rams and Lady Cougars last met on April 20, 2021, when Columbus State claimed an 8-0 victory. Albany State's last win against CSU was a thrilling 3-2 triumph on April 11, 2018, proving that these teams have a history of competitive battles. The Lady Golden Rams will be seeking to snap their losing streak against the Cougars and pick up a key non-conference win.

Albany State University is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II-level intercollegiate athletic program. The university currently fields teams in 11 sports: women's volleyball, women's tennis, women's cross country, men's and women's basketball, softball, men's and women's track and field, women's soccer, baseball, and football with all teams compete in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC), except women's soccer, which participates in the Peach Belt Conference.
