Albany, Ga. - As October comes to a close, Albany State University Athletics gears up for an exciting and action-packed week across multiple sports. From the women's soccer season finale to back-to-back volleyball battles and a pivotal football showdown, the Golden Rams are ready to make their presence felt both at home and on the road.
Women's Soccer Preview
The Lady Golden Rams are set to wrap up the 2025 season with a pair of road matchups. On Wednesday, October 29, Albany State travels to LaGrange College for its final non-conference matchup of the year. The Lady Golden Rams will look to recreate the magic from earlier this season when they captured their first win of the year over the Lady Panthers.
To close out the campaign, Albany State will return to conference play for its season finale on Saturday, November 1, against Columbus State University. As the Lady Golden Rams prepare to take the field for the final time this season, they aim to finish strong and carry momentum into the offseason.

Women's Volleyball Preview
The Lady Golden Rams Volleyball team continues its strong conference push with two Peach State matchups this week. Albany State opens play at home on Thursday, October 30, hosting Clark Atlanta University inside the HPER Gym. In their last meeting, the Lady Golden Rams swept the Lady Panthers 3-0 and will look to repeat that dominant performance in front of the home crowd.
The action continues on Friday, October 31, as Albany State travels to Fort Valley, Georgia, to face long-time rival Fort Valley State University. The Lady Golden Rams enter the week with momentum and are eager to close out October on a winning note before shifting focus to postseason play.

Football Preview
The Albany State Golden Rams are riding high after their dominant 31-3 victory over nationally ranked Benedict College, a win that propelled them to first place in the SIAC standings and reentry into the AFCA Top 25 Coaches Poll. Under Head Coach Quinn Gray Sr., the Golden Rams (7-1, 6-0 SIAC) look to extend their winning streak and clinch the top seed for the SIAC Championship Game.
Standing in their way are the Savannah State Tigers (5-3, 3-3 SIAC), who enter the matchup coming off a 24-16 homecoming win over Morehouse College. The Golden Rams will also look to avenge last season's heartbreaking 26-28 loss to the Tigers on November 2, 2024. With conference championship implications on the line, Saturday's Senior Day showdown at 1:00 PM inside the ASU Coliseum promises to be a thrilling battle in front of a packed home crowd.
