Box Score Cochran, GA- The Lady Golden Rams displayed great enthusiasm as they strived for their first victory, but unfortunately, they fell short of the Lady Knights on Saturday evening (Sept. 7).
Albany State dropped to 0-2 with the loss, while Middle Georgia improved to 1-3.
The Lady Knights' defense held Albany State to just two shots in the first half and one in the second.
Jordyn Keene and
Taniya Averett each had one shot on goal to lead the offense.
Ava Droze finished with a game-high 15 saves.
The Knights took 18 shots in the first half, scoring a goal in the 39th minute through Eliza Telford, giving them a 1-0 lead at halftime. In the second half, the offense continued to dominate, taking 16 more shots and scoring another goal in the 87th minute through a penalty kick by Hanna Lemoine, securing a 2-0 victory for the Knights.
With this win, the Lady Knights extend their series lead to 3-0 over the Lady Golden Rams.
