Albany State Cross Country Set for SIAC Championship Meet

Albany, GA - The Albany State cross-country teams are gearing up for the 2024 SIAC Championship Meet, scheduled for Wednesday, October 23, at the Georgia Premier Cross-Country Course at Middle Georgia State University in Macon, GA. Admission is free for all attendees.
Event Schedule:
  • Men's 8,000-Meter Championship Race: 9:00 a.m. ET
  • Women's 5,000-Meter Championship Race: 10:00 a.m. ET
Live Results Links: Last year's meet saw Benedict College shine with a dominant performance, placing three runners in the top 10. Central State finished as runner-up with 77 points, while Albany State followed closely behind in third with 91 points. The Golden Rams are eager to improve upon last year's performance as they chase SIAC championship glory.

ABOUT ALBANY STATE ATHLETICS
Albany State University is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II-level intercollegiate athletic program. The university currently fields teams in 11 sports: women's volleyball, women's tennis, women's cross country, men's and women's basketball, softball, men's and women's track and field, women's soccer, baseball, and football with all teams compete in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC), except women's soccer, which participates in the Peach Belt Conference.
