Americus, GA - Albany State faced a tough matchup against Georgia Southwestern, ultimately falling 0-4 in a conference game held in Americus, GA. With this loss, the Lady Golden Rams drop to 1-11-0 overall and 0-6-0 in the Peach Belt Conference, while the Hurricanes improve to 5-5-0 overall and 3-2-0 in conference play.
The Hurricanes quickly established control in the first half, with Chloe Iuliano scoring the opening goal in the 18th minute, assisted by Sydney Weslowski. Just six minutes later, Cassidy Brunner found the net with an assist from Emily Davis, giving GSW a 2-0 lead at halftime.
The second half saw the Hurricanes extend their lead, with Weslowski scoring in the 76th minute off an assist from Ella Moody. Kira Wilson sealed the win for Georgia Southwestern in the 81st minute with an assist from both Jada Thomas and Moody.

The Lady Golden Rams remain on the road, traveling to the Palmetto State to take on USC Beaufort on Saturday, October 19, for a 2 p.m. kickoff.
