The Albany State Golden Rams soccer team was defeated (0-4) by the Georgia Southwestern University Hurricanes on Wednesday evening at the ASU West Campus Soccer Complex.  It was the Golden Rams 6^th loss in a row.  With the loss, the Golden Rams are now (0-6) overall and (0-1) in the Peach Belt Conference while the Hurricanes improved to (2-3-1) overall and (1-1) in the conference.
 
The Hurricanes scored 2-runs in the first period.  At the 8:26 mark, Lucia Bustamante scored to give the Hurricanes a (1-0) lead.  The goal was assisted by Sophia Kotopka.
 
At the 30:38 mark, Ellie Carrington scored to increase the lead to (2-0).  The goal was assisted by Jackie Stokes.
 
In the second period, the Hurricanes scores 2 more runs.  Sophia Kotopka scored at the 52:16 mark to give the Hurricanes a (3-0) lead.
 
The Hurricanes scored their 4^th goal of the game when Phoebe Whalley scored at the 56:29 mark.  The goal was assisted by Lucia Bustamante.
 
The Golden Rams finished with 5 shots, 7 saves and 13 fouls.
 
The Hurricanes finished with 22 shots, 10 corner kicks and 19 fouls.
 
The Golden Rams will be back in action when they host the Allen University Yellow Jackets at 5:00 pm on Wednesday, September 27.
