The Albany State University Golden Rams soccer team lost (4-1) to the Southern Wesleyan University Warriors on Wednesday evening in Central, South Carolina. With the loss, the Golden Rams fell to (0-5) on the season while the Warriors improved to (1-2-1) overall.
The Warriors raced to a (4-0) lead at the end of the 1
st period. Madelyn Graf and Madi Wurst scored the 3
rd and 4
th goal, respectively.
The Golden Rams scored at the 76:45 mark to cut the lead to (4-1) when
Payton Johnson scored a goal that was assisted by
Gabby Toney.
Daphne Estrada finished with 15 saves for the Golden Rams.
The Golden Rams will face Edward Waters University at 2:00 pm on Sunday, September 17, in Jacksonville, Florida.
