It took 4 sets, but the Golden Rams volleyball team earned their 3
rd straight win in the conference when they defeated the Clark-Atlanta University Panthers (3-1) at the L.S. Epps Gymnasium on Tuesday evening in Atlanta, Georgia. With the win, the Golden Rams improved to (3-5) overall and (3-0) in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference while the Panthers fell to (2-3) and (1-1) in the conference.

The Golden Rams lost set 1 by the score of (26-24). But, the Golden Rams rallied to win the next three sets. In set 2, the Golden Rams earned a hard fought win by the score of (26-24). In set 3, the Golden Rams defeated the Panthers (25-20). The Golden Rams closed out the game by winning set 4 (25-20).

As a team, the Golden Rams finished with 100 points, 52 kills, 24 attack errors, 139 total attacks and a .201 hitting percentage.

The Panthers finished with 90 points, 29 kills, 23 attack errors, 131 total attacks and a .046 hitting percentage.

The Golden Rams will participate in the 2023 AUM Fall Tournament on September 15-16, in Montgomery, Alabama.
