Quinn Gray, Sr., the 14th head football coach at Albany State University, welcomed a plethora of freshmen and transfers to campus for move-in day on Tuesday, August 1.
 
The day started with players checking in and moving into their dorm rooms between 8:00 am – 11:00 am.  At 11:30 am, Coach Gray and his staff held a players and parents meeting.  During the meeting, Dr. Kristene Kelly (Director of Athletics) was introduced.  After lunch, the players participated in several breakout sessions on topics such as: mental health, academic support, college readiness, etc. 
 
The Golden Rams are seeking to make a triumphant return as one of the top teams in the SIAC.  In this year's preseason poll, the Golden Rams were picked to finish #2 in the SIAC (behind Benedict College).
