Quinn Gray, Sr., the 14th head football coach at Albany State University, is in the process of finalizing his first coaching staff as the head man for the Golden Rams.

Christopher Cash will serve as the Associate Head Coach and Co-Defensive Coordinator. Prior to coming to Albany State, Coach Cash coached safeties at Alcorn State University (2018-2021).  Alcorn State won back-to-back SWAC Championships with a pair of appearances in the Celebration Bowl and competed in Black National Championships two years in a row. In 2019, Alcorn's secondary led the nation in interceptions with a total of 21.  Alcorn was also ranked #1 in the FSC in turnovers gained (36).  In the SWAC Championship, Alcorn forced six turnovers including three interceptions. Cash coached Juwan Taylor who was named the SWAC Championship Defensive MVP, and Qwynnterrio Cole who was an HBCU All-America First-Team selection.  In 2013-2014, Cash was hired as safeties coachÂ
at Florida A&M University where Rattlers, they lead the nation in passing defense. He went back to his high school alma mater, where he was the defensive coordinator for two years at for Franklin High School (2011-2012).

Cash played at Franklin High School. Cash attended Palomar College in San Marcos, Ca. He went on to have an outstanding career at PC, where he had three interceptions as a freshman and was offered a scholarship to USC, which he accepted. He also made Junior College All-American while at Palomar College. Cash graduated from USC in 2002 after playing for head coaches Paul Hackett and Pete Carroll.  He earned Pac-10 All-Conference honors. At USC, he earned the reputation of being a solid corner. He grabbed four interceptions over the two years at USC, starting 17 games. He earned All-Pac-10 second team honors in 2001, even with missing the final three games of his collegiate career with an injury.

Chris Cash was a football coach in the National Football League (NFL) from 2015 to 2016, finishing his career as the assistant secondary coach-cornerbacks of the Seattle Seahawks. Cash went on to play in the NFL from 2002-06 at cornerback.  He was drafted in the sixth round (175th overall) by the Detroit Lions in the 2002 NFL Draft.  Cash started in 12 games and wrapped-up 100 tackles with an interception his rookie season.  After three seasons with the Lions, he played for the Atlanta Falcons in 2005 and 2006.

Cash is a native of Stockton, California. He received is B.S. Degree from University of Southern California (USC). Cash has two sons, Caleb Cash and Darius Cash.

Matt Brown will serve as the Co-Defensive Coordinator and Linebacker Coach for the Golden Rams. Brown most recently worked as the nickels coach in 2022 after serving as a graduate assistant and student assistant since 2018 at his alma mater, Alcorn State University. Brown became the graduate assistant coach for linebackers in 2019 and was responsible for the growth and development of linebackers, putting together scouting reports, and game day defensive signal calling. Under his tutelage, the team was ranked number one in the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) and the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) in takeaways per game and interceptions. Brown coached FCS All-American and All-SWAC awardee Solomon Muhammad.Â
In addition, Brown coached the Jefferson County Middle School defense, serving as the defensive coordinator. The Tigers were ranked number one in total points per game (2) and were named the 2019 Southwest Mississippi Conference Middle School Champions. As a student assistant in 2018, Brown assisted the defensive line coach, checked on class attendance, inputted and broke down film, and scouted opponents. He aided in developing the 2018 All-HBCU and All-SWAC team member Terry Whittington and AFCA All-American and All-SWAC honoree Sterling Shippy. During his time with the defensive line, the Braves were number one in the FCS and SWAC in sacks (52), sacks per game (4.0), and tackles for a loss (9.5). They were also number one in the SWAC in total defense, rushing defense per game (91.5), and interceptions (14). Other career highlights include coaching the 2018 and 2019 Celebration Bowl and SWAC Championship teams.

Brown has a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management and a Masters in Sports Administration from Alcorn State University.

Elijah Haggard will serve as the Defensive Run Game Coordinator, Special Teams Coordinator, and Defensive Line Coach. Â Most recently, he worked at the University of Memphis where he served for two years, (2021-2022) as A Defensive Line Graduate Assistant where he was part of back to back bowl championship teams in both the Hawaii Bowl (2021), and The First Responders Bowl (2022). Â During his time at Memphis, he graduated with his Masters Degree in Sports and Hospitality Management.
Prior to the University of Memphis, he served for one year as a graduate assistant coach at The University of North Alabama working with the linebackers in 2020.
Before working at North Alabama, he worked for six months as linebacker coach at Avila University in Kansas City, Mo.
Prior to Avila, he served as a Defensive Student Assistant Coach at the University of Tennessee at Martin where he worked with Linebackers, Defensive Line, and assistant to the defensive coordinator. Â In 2018, the Skyhawks led the Ohio Valley Conference in scoring defense, allowing 19.5 points per game in league play. UTM's defense was also prominent in the 2017 national statistics.
Elijah worked as a student assistant at UTM from 2015 until his graduation in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education, focused in Biology.
A Parsons, Tennessee, native, he is a 2015 graduate of Riverside High School where he Lettered in football.

Orlando McKinley "Coach O" joins the Golden Rams as the Cornerbacks Coach and will also be coaching the returners. Before Coach McKinley's arrival, he held the position of Defensive Graduate Assistant (DB's / Returners) at his alma mater- Florida A&M University over the past two seasons. In his tenure at FAMU, Coach McKinley helped the Rattlers to back-to-back nine-win seasons and an FCS playoff birth. While at FAMU, Coach McKinley developed one ALL-AMERICAN DB (BJ Bohler), and one ALL- AMERCIAN Returner (Jah'marae Sheread). Prior to being a Graduate Assistant, Coach McKinley spent his first season coaching as the Defensive Backs Coach at Benjamin Banneker High School in Atlanta, Ga.Â
Coach McKinley graduated from Florida A&M University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, while minoring in Political Science. McKinley was a four-year starter, All-MEAC, and HBCU ALL- AMERICAN Football player. He ended his collegiate career as the FAMU and MEAC record holder for longest INT returned for a touchdown at 100 yards.

From Atlanta, Ga, McKinley is a graduate of Westlake High School, where he was an ALL- REGION Cornerback as well as an ALL-AMERICAN in Track & Field, holding the 110H record.

Dazzie Morris joins the Golden Rams as the Offensive Coordinator and Offensive line Coach, before Coach Morris's arrival in March of 2023 he held the position of Offensive Coordinator at Deland High school in Deland, FL. Coach Morris has spent most of his career coaching college football most recently as the Offensive Line Coach and Run Games Coordinator at Webber International University. Before that, Coach Morris worked for Methodist University as the running backs coach and was a part of the Bethune-Cookman University football staff in the 2019 season as its Offensive Quality Control Coach.
Morris served as the Defensive Coordinator of Ocoee High School in 2018 and he started his coaching career as the Offensive Line Graduate Assistant at Fort Valley State University in 2017, for a team that came up short in the SIAC championship game.
Morris graduated from Bethune-Cookman on May 10, 2017, receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree in liberal studies, while minoring in psychology. Morris was a four-year starter and All-MEAC Football player. He ended his college football career with three MEAC championships.
From Apopka, FL, Morris is a graduate of Apopka High School and helped lead the Apopka Blue Darters to a Florida Class 8-A state title in 2012. Dazzie Morris is married to his college sweetheart, Fidline Morris, whom he met at Bethune-Cookman. They are currently expecting their first child. Coach Morris is also a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.

Tod Devoe will serve as the Wide Receivers Coach for the Golden Rams. Tod Devoe is from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where he attended Boyd H. Anderson High School. Toderick attended Itawamba Community College in Fulton, Mississippi, before transferring to the University of Central Missouri. Toderick was a two-time first-team All-MIAA wide receiver and earned All-American honors as well. Tod is the only player in Central Missouri history to record two 1,000 yard receiving seasons. He has the fourth most receiving yards in a single season (1,089) and third most touchdowns receiving in a season and is second in career touchdown receptions (23). He also boasts the longest touchdown catch in school and MIAA history of 99 yards against Minnesota Duluth in the Mineral Water Bowl. He also earned All-America honors in track & field for Central Missouri as a member of the 4x400 meter relay team in 2002.
Following his career at Central Missouri, he went on to play in the NFL for the Baltimore Ravens and Denver Broncos. Â After playing in the NFL, Tod played in other leagues such as the CFL (Canadian Football League) and AFL (Arena Football League).
In 2014, Tod become the Wide Receivers coach at Richmond High School in Richmond, Missouri, before returning home in 2015 to become the Wide Receiver coach at Deerfield Beach High School. In 2017, Tode would land his first offensive coordinating job at Stranahan High.  In 2019, Tod become the Offensive Coordinator at his alma mater, Boyd H. Anderson High School.

Anthony Kelly, a native Mississippian, has served as an assistant coach with the Golden Rams since 1990.  He is the director of alumni relations. Kelly earned an athletic scholarship in football to attend Albany State College in 1984. In 1984, he was part of the first SIAC Football Championship team at ASC. During his college career, he received numerous awards and recognitions for academic excellence, including the SIAC Student-Athlete Award and was named a research assistant for the Minority Biomedical Research Program in the Department of Natural Science at Albany State.
Kelly earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry with a minor degree in Mathematics from Albany State College in 1990 and a Master's degree in Science Education/Biology from Albany State University in Fall 2002. In 2013, Kelly was inducted into the Albany State University's Sports Hall of Fame. Active in numerous professional, civic, and social organizations, Kelly is a member of the Prince Hall Masons and the Prince Hall Shriners.  He is also a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. and Mount Zion Baptist Church of Albany, Ga.
Kelly is the father of a daughter, Ranetta and the grandfather of Derrinijah, both of Meridian, Mississippi. He is the son of Ms. Paulette Carson and the late James Odell Carson of Meridian, Mississippi.
