The Albany State Golden Rams men's track and field team finished in 3
rd place at the 2023 SIAC Track & Field Championship on April 27-29, in Atlanta, Georgia. The Golden Rams competed in the three-day championship event at the Edwin Moses Track on the campus of Morehouse College.
Benedict College finished in 1
st place with 215.2. The Tigers were followed by Morehouse (184.5), Albany State (121), Savannah State (65), Spring Hill (42), Tuskegee (40), Central State (35), Fort Valley State (31), Allen (24), Lane (23), Kentucky State (21) and Edward Waters (16).
The Golden Rams won 1
st place in the Men's 4x100 Relay with a time of 40.60. The team consisted of Ed Gilbert, Shannon Carter, Jordan Smith and Kibren Moore.
Jayvon Hutchinson won 1
st place in the Men's 110M with a time of 14.47.
Jordan Smith won 1
st place in the Men's 400M with a time of 53.26.
Kibren Moore won 1
st place in the Men's 100M with a time of 10.65. Ed Gilbert finished in 2
nd place in the Men's 100M with a time of 10.69.
Kibren Moore won 1
st place in the Men's 200M with a time of 21.31. Ed Gilbert finished in 2
nd place in the Men's 200M with a time of 21.37.
The Golden Rams finished in 2
nd place in the Men's 4x400 Relay with a time of 3:14.17. The team consisted of Smith, Moore, Gilbert and Douglas.
Sage Abdullah finished in 3
rd place in the Men's 1500M with a time of 4:04.96.
Michael Trimble finished in 3
rd place in the Men's Shot Put with a mark of 14.09m.
