The Albany State Golden Rams women and men's track and field teams finished strong at the Savannah State Eye Opener on Saturday afternoon. 
 
The Golden Rams women finished in 1^st place with a score of 162.50.  The Golden Rams were followed by Savannah State (148), Clayton State (112.50), SCAD Savannah (64.50), Claflin (47.50), Wesleyan (16) and Denmark Tech (9). 
 
The following student-athletes had an outstanding day at the Savannah State Eye Opener: Anaya Howell (Javelin Champion), Sydney Blackburn (Shot Put & Discus Champion) and Shonkeria Jones (100M Champion).
 
The Savannah State men won 1^st place with a score (166).  They were followed by Morehouse (148.50), Albany State (110), Clayton State (89.50), Claflin (56), SCAD Savannah (19) and Denmark Tech (13).
 
For the Golden Rams men's team, Tyler Nonnombre (Shot Put Champion) and Jayvon Hutchinson (110 Hurdle & Long Jump Champion) had an outstanding showing at the Savannah State Eye Opener.
