The Albany State Golden Rams volleyball team won their 4
th straight game after defeating the Benedict Tigers on Sunday afternoon at The Jones Brothers Health, Physical Education and Recreation Complex on the ASU East Campus.
With the win, the Golden Rams improved to (13-10) overall and (13-1) in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. The Tigers fell to (11-7) overall and (8-7) in the conference.
In set 1, the Golden Rams defeated the Tigers (25-16). In set 2, the Golden Rams won (25-18). The Golden Rams won set 3 by the score of (25-15).
The Golden Rams finished with 60 points, 40 kills, 13 aces, 7 blocks, 39 assists and 48 digs.
Sydney Melton led the Golden Rams with 14 kills, 5 aces and 17 digs.
Khamari Trotter paced the Golden Rams with 3 blocks while Mimi Harris finished with 36 assists.
The Tigers finished with 25 points, 19 kills, 3 aces, 3 blocks, 19 assists and 37 digs. Kylie Jackson led the Tigers with 6 kills. Willow Alls finished with 8 assists. Jordan Williams finished with 11 digs.
