Stephan Pierre and James Hawkins have been selected to participate in the 2023 HBCU Legacy Bowl that will be held in New Orleans, Louisiana on Saturday, February 25. The HBCU Legacy Bowl is a postseason all-star game that will showcase the best NFL draft-eligible football players from Historically Black Colleges and Universities. The all-star game will feature approximately 100 of the top players in the country from Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
Stephan Pierre was named to the 2022 SIAC Football All-Conference First Team. Pierre is a 6'2 linebacker from Tallahassee, Florida. Pierre finished the 2022 season with 58 solo tackles (84 total tackles), 9 tackles for a loss, 5 sacks, 3 quarterback hurries, 1 fumble recovery and 1 forced fumble. In 2021, Pierre was named the SIAC Overall MVP and Defensive Player of the Year.
James Hawkins was named to the 2022 SIAC Football All-Conference First Team. Hawkins is a 5'10 defensive back from Fayetteville, Georgia. Hawkins finished the season with 23 solo tackles (32 total tackles), 9 assisted tackles, 5 pass break ups and 1 fumble recovery.
The game will be broadcast live at 3:00 pm on NFL Network. The week-long celebration of Black culture and history will provide invaluable exposure for HBCU players and coaches.

Coemba Jones represented the Golden Rams in the Inaugural 2022 HBCU Legacy Bowl. Harvey was named to the 2022 SIAC First Team while Jones was a member on the SIAC Second Team.
