The Albany State Golden Rams women's soccer team were defeated (5-0) at home to the University of South Carolina Beaufort this afternoon at the ASU West Campus Soccer Complex.
 
The Golden Rams fell to (0-6) overall while the Sand Sharks improved to (8-1) overall.  The Golden Rams are now (0-3) in the Peach Belt Conference.
 
The Golden Rams played a near perfect first period defensively against the Sand Sharks until Ine Aas scored with 30 seconds remaining in the half.  The period ended with the Golden Rams trailing (1-0) at the half.
 
Mari Kalvatn scored at the 52:15 mark to give the Sand Sharks a (2-0) advantage.  The goal was assisted by Lexi Kaeser. 
 
At the 63:35 mark, Kristin Beltestad gave the Sand Sharks a (3-0) lead.  The goal was assisted by Mari Kalvatn.
 
Savanna Page scored at the 77:44 mark to give the Sand Sharks a commanding (4-0) lead.  Her goal was assisted by Kennedy Harris.
 
Savanna Page scored again at the 83:15 mark to put the Sand Sharks up (5-0). 
 
The Golden Rams will host USC Aiken at 4:00 pm on Wednesday, September 28.
