Entering the season with 10 freshmen on the roster, the young Golden Rams have a very promising future.  While the Golden Rams didn't achieve their desired outcome today, it was definitely a learning experience as they lost (3-1) to the Georgia Southwestern Hurricanes.
 
Late in the 1^st period, the Hurricanes scored the first point of the game when #11 Krystal Elie split several defenders for the goal.  That would be the only goal in the period as the Golden Rams and Hurricanes entered the half with the score (1-0).
 
In the 2^nd period, the Golden Rams tied the game when #6 Kaleema Alexia scored on a penalty kick.  The Golden Rams momentum would not last long after #4 Karsen Winget gave the Hurricanes a (2-1) lead.  The Hurricanes #22 Marina Thompson extended the lead to (3-1) after she scored her first goal of the season.
 
The Golden Rams will be back in action against Spring Hill College on Friday, August 26.  The game will start 4:00 pm on the ASU West Campus.
