Albany State Host Benedict for Homecoming

With 1st place in the Eastern Division on the line, the Albany State Golden Rams will host the Benedict Tigers for their Homecoming Game on Saturday, October 15.  The game will be played at 2:00 pm at the ASU Coliseum on the East Campus in Albany, Georgia. 
 
The Golden Rams will enter the game with an overall record of (5-1).  The Golden Rams are (3-0) in the SIAC.  The Tigers are (6-0) overall and (4-0) in the SIAC. 
 
The Golden Rams won their 4th straight game after defeating the Edward Waters Tigers (55-7) on Saturday, October 8, in Jacksonville, Florida. 
 
On the season, the Golden Rams offense is averaging 32 points per game.  The Golden Rams will enter game averaging 188 yards passing and 202 yards rushing per game.  The "Dirty Blue" defense is only allowing 11 points per game.
 
Dionte Bonneau has completed 64 passes in 120 attempts for 1078 yards and 7 touchdowns.  Bonneau has also rushed for 166 yards and 3 touchdowns.  Marcuis Fulks is the leading rusher for the Golden Rams.  Fulks has 80 rushes for 421 yards and 6 touchdowns and is averaging 5.2 yards per carry.  Joe Shorter lead the Golden Rams in receiving.  Shorter has 14 receptions for 266 yards and 3 touchdowns.
 
On last Saturday, the Tigers defeated the Miles College Golden Bears (20-3).
 
The Tigers are averaging 34 points per game while their defense is only allowing 8 points per game.
 
Eric Phoenix has completed 65 passes in 106 attempts for 736 yards and 8 touchdowns.  Phoenix has also rushed for 121 yards and 3 touchdowns.  Noah Zaire Scotland is the leading rusher for the Tigers.  Scotland has rushed 85 times for 420 yards and 6 touchdowns.  Scotland averages 4.7 yards per carry.  Reginald Harden leads the Tigers in receiving with 8 receptions for 228 yards and 2 touchdowns.  Harden averages 28 yards per catch.
 
The Golden Rams and Tigers last played on Saturday, October 16, 2021.  On that day, the Golden Rams defeated the Tigers (28-6).
