ALBANY, Ga. (April 3, 2021)– The Albany State University track and field team hosted the 2021 Annual Alice Coachman Invitational today at the Robert Cross Track & Field Complex. 
 
Albany State University hosted Brewton-Parker, Fort Valley State University, Vorhees, Columbus State University (W), Clayton State University, Tallahassee Community College, Fort Valley State University, Shorter University, Life University (W), Talladega College and Wesleyan College. 
Albany State University honored Khadijah Williams, Christopher Jackson, Clifford Russell and Cameo Wilkerson during senior day.
 
On the men's side, ASU finished sixth with 33 points. Columbus State finished in the top spot with 169 points followed by Brewton-Parker (144) and Clayton State (107) finished in second and third place while Fort Valley State (69) rounded out the top-five.

The men grabbed one individual winner with Tyler Douglas taking the 1500 meters victory with a time of 4:25.83. 

On the women's side ASU came away with the fourth-place victory with scoring 86 points. Shorter finished in top spot followed by Fort Valley State (111) and Clayton State (105) finished in second and third while Columbus State (52) finished out the top five. 

The Golden Rams grabbed four individual winners in the meet. 

Khadija Williams and TyAsia Thorton brought home the javelin win with securing 37.43m and 24.92m.  
 
Sydney Blackburn took the Women's Discus Finals finishing with a mark of 45.83m. 

Erin McCoy took the Women's 800 meters finishing with a time of 2:20.54.

Albany State will head to Statesboro, Georgia to participate in the Georgia Southern Invite on April 24th.
