The Albany State University Golden Rams volleyball team defeated the Lane College Dragons in 3 sets (25-13, 25-22 & 25-20) in the 1^st round of the SIAC Tournament at the Rock Hill Sports & Event Center in Rock Hill, SC.
 
As a team, the Golden Rams finished with 39 kills.  Jordyn Terrell led the Golden Rams with 9 kills while Sydney Melton chipped in with 8. 
 
Kayla Johnson tallied 23 of the Golden Rams 38 assists during the game.  Jolesia McClenton and Sydney Melton combined for 36 of the Golden Rams 59 digs.  As a team, the Golden Rams finished with 3 total blocks.
 
The Golden Rams (#1 seed in the East Division) will play Central State (#2 seed in the West Division) in Round 2 at 10:00 am on Tuesday, November 16.  Central State defeated Albany State (3-2) on September 26, 2021.
