ATLANTA, Ga. (April 13, 2019) – The Albany State University track & field teams finished (9^th(women's ) / 8th (men's)) at the Berry Field Day Invitational in their eighth competition of the outdoor season. The meet was hosted by Berry College at Valhalla Stadium in Mount Berry, Georgia.


On the men's side, ASU finished eighth with 48 points. Reinhardt finished first with 122.5 points followed by Emory who finished in second and third place while host Berry College (93.5) and Shorter (81) rounded out the top-five.

Christopher Jackson finished third in the 100 meter dash with a time of 10.73. 


Jarvis Collins finished second in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 15.05. 

On the women's side ASU came away in 9^thplace with scoring 39 points. Emory University finished in first place followed by West Georgia (106.5) and Mercer (89) finished in second and third while Shorter (77.2) and Lipscomb (76) finished out the top five. 

Albany State University will compete for the 2019 Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Track & Field Championships title on April 18-20^th in Rock Hill, South Carolina.
